Mona Lisa: The perfect smile is said to need some minor touch up. The work of Art by Leonardo da Vinci is slowly deforming. It survived 500 years but it needs to be rehabilitated. Mona Lisa painting is considered to the most famous painting of Leonardo Da Vinci it had been carefully handled by Museum conservators for a long time. This time the work of Art must be checked carefully by articulating microscopes and X- ray for further touch ups to be made.
The museum conservators discovered the slight deformation during their regular check up in the museum and declared that the painting should be studied immediately. The further study and examination of the painting will be made when the museum is closed and thus the painting will still be on display while the museum is still open. The test that will be conducted on the painting will use articulating microscopes and this will give out information if the fixing made before improved the condition of the painting or worsen it. And this test will also determine if they need to work it again. By using articulating microscopes they discovered some cracks on the poplar panel of the painting.
Mona Lisa is said to be enclosed by a bulletproof glass cover with controlled temperature inside. This painting has survived 500 years and the Museum conservators are predicting it will survive 500 years more if it’s handled carefully and regularly checked. Checking must include the use of articulating microscopes.Read more on this topic
